Bamburgh Walled Garden

Bamburgh Walled Garden is an exciting new addition to the Bamburgh Castle Estate – a space for all to enjoy in the heart of Bamburgh. Not only does the Walled Garden offer a cafe, playground and sensory garden, it also includes Bamburgh’s first Changing Places Toilet; this vital facility has enabled them to create a truly accessible space to be enjoyed by all.

A place for all

Here at Ultimate, we were given the exciting task of not only branding this new subdivision to the Bamburgh Estate, but also creating a shiny new website!

We needed to create an engaging brand that felt part of the Bamburgh Castle Estate group, whilst making sure it appealed to a vast audience of potential visitors.

A future proof brand and accessible website

With the Garden offering such a vital space for disabled visitors, we needed to make sure the branding was 100% accessible for all users – from iconography to colour choices.

The finished brand and website offers a fresh and fun brand that incorporates different elements of the Walled Garden’s heritage. The font family chosen complements the existing Bamburgh Castle brand to allow fluidity between the Estate sub-brands.

Iconography has been utilised to create visual aids that can be replicated on site as well as throughout the website.
