How we unified brands with the power of protection

Two brands, one mission

Introducing two companies: SIM Switchgear and
RB Marine, with teams of highly successful specialists in electrical engineering performing at their very best. Both have an outstanding service offering, technical skill and amazing knowledge base.

But above all, they are a team of thinkers and doers that are fully charged. So much more than technical knowledge, it’s attitude and mindset that sets
them apart.

Our in-depth workshop and discovery sessions led to creating a new brand position so we could begin to redefine and connect both brands.

Creating definition

Previously, the brands SIM Switchgear and RB Marine had been treated with a blurry line of separation. Both experts in electrical switchgear, SIM Switchgear is equipped to deliver a full range of services, including routine maintenance and full-service inspections. RB Marine work in the same space; providing electrical switchgear services for the marine sector but with a major focus on the demands of the cruise industry and offshore.

Sharing the good stuff

We set out to unify the two brands to really strengthen their offering. Both brands now share elements such as mission, vision and values, colour palette and typography and a connected approach to messaging. However, each holds their own identifiable brand identity and approach to photography to position themselves clearly to their audiences and better connect with the outside world.

Future-proofing with digital brand guidelines

Strong digital brand guidelines mean the visual identity can remain consistent across all channels, whilst having the flexibility to adapt creatively as the two brands develop and evolve.
