Lymphoma Action are the UK’s only charity that is dedicated to Lymphoma, the fifth most common cancer. They have spent over 35 years providing trusted information, as well as supporting and helping people that have been affected by Lymphoma.
Lymphoma Action helps people both living with Lymphoma, as well as their families, by offering reliable information and providing the best support throughout. They work with fundraisers and volunteers, to help raise awareness and make sure Lymphoma is never forgotten about.
Their overall mission is to make sure no one faces Lymphoma alone.
Creating an engaging campaign
Here at Ultimate, our task was to create an eye-catching, suitable campaign for Blood Cancer Awareness Month to grab peoples attention. This campaign was to get people talking, understanding and sharing their own knowledge and experiences on what is now the 5th most common cancer.
The campaign itself had a lighter approach to what is such a hard hitting topic, this was to keep the campaign warm and friendly, yet staying supportive and informative at the same time. We included a speech bubble throughout the campaign to really support the ‘Let’s Talk Lymphoma’ idea and get people talking, which was both the clients and our overall goal! We wanted a conversational tone to keep it light and ‘chatty’, whilst maintaining the serious factor.
Once the overarching creative concept was agreed between us and Lymphoma Action, we also designed some further assets to be rolled out across different social media platforms, such as digital banners and posters. We then worked collaboratively with the team at Lymphoma to build a 30 second digital trailer, to further highlight vital information and symptoms of Lymphoma Blood Cancer.
Both internally at Ultimate, and the team at Lymphoma Action were so happy and proud with the overall outcome of what we had produced and the effects it had! Not only did it raise awareness and knowledge of what is such an important issue, but Lymphoma Action had what turned out to be the biggest month ever for Blood Cancer Awareness, and raised over £90,000!
